It’s been a busy first quarter in 2008 at the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce. We had a very successful Awards Banquet in February, we’ve added two new referral groups and we’re gearing up for the best City Slickers Annual Live and Silent Auction yet!

This year’s auction, held on April 27 from 5—9 p.m. at the Grapevine Convention Center, will be an event you don’t want to miss. Co-Chairs Susan Williams, Cecilia Monacelli and their committee have once again done a fantastic job. We will have live entertainment by Yellow Rose Productions, an array of food booths and an exciting selection of auction items, including a complete bathroom remodeling (donated by Thomas Cole Custom Homes), a Royal Caribbean Cruise for two (donated by Pampered Travel Services), two round-trip plane tickets to Amsterdam (donated by Northwest Airlines/KLM Royal Dutch Airlines) and a private concert in your living room performed by pianist Danny Wright (donated by Danny Wright). Donating to the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce can pay off in a big way! Give a mere $100 to the Chamber’s New Building Fund and receive a raffle ticket to win a 2008 G35 Infiniti Sedan. The raffle drawing will take place at City Slickers Live and Silent Auction. Only 500 tickets will be sold, which gives excellent odds to those purchasing even one ticket.

Our Annual Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, September 22 at Bear Creek Golf Club. Get a team together or sign up as an individual and we will assign you a team. Last year was close to a sellout, so be sure to join early.

Colleyville street maps are hot off the press! Stop by the Chamber office and pick one up. Our community is constantly growing and changing, so they are an excellent resource to have handy.
